Our Start To Finish Process

Step 1: Color selection

Hand Holding Color Swatches

Here at Babin and Sons we know that obtaining the best possible results with any and every project; starts with the vision. In this first step, if you are stumped on what color to select we offer free color consultations with our trained professional and friendly staff.
We usually suggest a Sherwin Williams color, solely based on the discounts we receive on their paints that allow our customers/clients the advantage of an affordable quality paint.

Step 2: Prep Work

Once we've arrived at your project our trained professional staff will introduce themselves, and begin working immediately following your direction to the appropriate areas that they will be starting in.
They will instantly begin using painters tape in the areas that need to be taped, including baseboards, doorframes, and other tight areas. Which will minimize the mess and allow for crisp lines.
They will also begin removing any and all light switch and plug in outlet covers that is in the work area.
At this point any nails (if specified) will be removed, and holes filled with caulking which will allow for that smooth finished look.
Once all of the prep work is finished, they will begin placing coverings on the floors, and if ceilings are being done plastics will be placed on any furniture left in the room for protection also.

Step 3: Painting Time

After the perfect color has been selected and the prep work has been completed in full, it is time for painting.
Here at Babin and Sons, we price every job as taking up to, two coats for a reason. We plan to put two coats of paint on 99% of the jobs we put our brushes on. We like to aim for perfection and we strive to make sure that it will look amazing for the walkthrough and exceptional for the years to come. Appling two coats allows for a full coverage and even coat of paint, Giving a crisp and unbeatable look.
During this step, if you want to make sure that you're able to see the first coat of paint and the second coat of paint. Please feel free to ask to be notified after the first coat of paint has been applied so you can view it. Our staff would love to show you what a wonderful, quick, professional job they are doing. After the first coat is applied we allow dry time, to ensure proper application of a second coat. Our professional staff will also "cut-in", this is where we use a brush along baseboards, doorjambs, sills, and ceilings creating a crisp and seamless paint line!

Our priority during this step of our process, is making sure that the project looks impeccable. Please feel free to express your true thoughts and concerns during this step so that we are able to exceed your expectations and be able to complete your vision.
